About Studio Z
For years, Studio Z was kept alive by one woman's dedication — but without enough renters or income to stay sustainable. When it became clear the studio might have to close, a small group of us who had danced together on this floor for years decided we couldn’t let that happen.
We didn't take it over because it was a good business opportunity. We took it over because we believe that community gathering spaces are a bedrock of connection and wellbeing to individuals and groups.
Our goal is to steward Studio Z on behalf of everyone who loves and uses it. We're counting on the dancers, instructors, creatives, and facilitators who bring their visions through the door to help make that possible — not just for us, but for everyone in Ashland who needs a place like this to exist.
